Vice President and Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to address the nation on February 7.
H will be outlining his plans, vision for the country, and the ideas that will be incorporated into the party’s manifesto.
This announcement is in reaction to calls from James Kwabena Bonfeh, popularly known as Kabila, the former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) asking Dr. Bawumia to share his vision for the country during an interview on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning show.
Mr Kabila emphasized the need for the Vice President to share his vision, stating, “…between November 4 and January 17; it’s too long a time not to have stated that vision.”
Sammi Awuku, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), addressed these concerns during an appearance on the same show.
“He’s preparing to speak to the nation on 7th February, and it will set the tone for what will define his presidency when elected.
“It’s expected that he will lay out his broader plan and vision for Ghana. He’s also expected to speak on where we are and where we are going, as well as the economy.
“The speech will also capture ideas that will be in the manifesto…Clearly, we have a job to perform and a task to deliver,” Mr Awuku explained.
